Following the accident that rocked the automotive world 11 years ago, Michael Schumacher made a rare public appearance. He wasn’t going to miss out on such an important occasion, his daughter’s wedding day. Not a racing fan in existence can forget the day in December 2013 when Schumacher experienced his skiing accident that left him in a coma for 6 months. One of the low points in Schumacher's life we take a look at some of the highlights of his legendary career.
Adelaide 1994: Michael Schumacher vs Damon Hill
This controversial collision that led Michael Schumacher to win his first world drivers’ championship. He was leading Hill by one point and led the entire way. This was until the 36th lap when Schumacher clipped the wall and Hill tried to get ahead. Schumacher turned back into Hill, taking himself out of the race but also damaging Hill’s car in the process. Since then, Hill has maintained that Schumacher did it on purpose though he still denies this.

Most drivers wouldn’t have the guts to go up against Aryton Senna at this point, but Schumacher wanted that 3rd place position more than most.
Wins 1998 GB Grand Prix from pits
Silverstone, 1998, the British Grand Prix saw a very controversial win for Ferarri and Schumacher. Taking advantage of a technical loophole, Schumacher took his penalty in the pit lane on the final lap. Due to the fact that the finish line extends across the pit lane he won as he was sitting there. This has been the only time for a win like this to happen in F1 history.
Second with broken gear box in 1994 Spanish GP
This incredible feat saw Schumacher taking 2nd in the 1994 Spanish Grand Prix despite the fact that he had to drive the last 40 laps in 5th gear after it faltered. Schumacher is unstoppable and demonstrated why he is a legend for sure that day.
2000 Italian grand prix - Despite being known as quite the reserved driver, Schumacher uncharacteristically broke down in the press conference after his victory at the 200 Italian Grand Prix which saw him equal the record of 41 race wins with Aryton Senna.
1996 Spanish Grand Prix The thing that Schumacher is known for is how well he can control an F1 car in the rain. The 1996 Spanish Grand Prix showcased just how incredible Schumacher was. Schumacher qualified in third position on the grid behind Damon Hill in the Williams. Both Hill and Schumacher had rough starts but Schumacher was able to rectify this and managed to take the lead from Hill's Williams teammate Jacques Villeneuve on Lap 13.
